Col Brennan - MISCP
Colin is a County Offaly native and a graduate of the U.K’s Teesside University. Having completed a Bsc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Colin also holds a National Cert in Applied Physiology and Health Science.
Having worked in a range of clinical settings in the North East of England Colin returned home to Ireland and undertook to work in the private sector prior to establishing Physio Central.
Being an active and keen sportsman Colin has been involved in the physiotherapy management of a range of clubs over the last number of years. ‘After having suffered numerous injuries while playing G.A.A. and other sports it helps to know what sports people go through and the frustration borne from injury of any kind’.
In addition to sports people, the clientele which Colin now treats varies from sports injuries and occupational injuries to orthopaedics and back pain. The great professional links which have seen Colin establish Physio Central together with in depth knowledge of injury and a commitment to work always within the scope of current best practice ensure clients of all levels benefit from clear guidance and re assurance on the rehabilitation journey.
Richie Walsh - MISCP
Richie is a chartered physiotherapist with an MSc in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin, complemented by an MSc in research and a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy, along with various other diplomas.
He has worked with athletes from a diverse range of sports, including GAA, rugby, swimming, and equestrian disciplines. His experience spans all levels, from club athletes to those competing at county, Paralympic, and Olympic levels.
Richie specialises in evidence-based rehabilitation, particularly in myofascial pain and trigger point therapy. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and scientific posters and has presented at numerous conferences. Additionally, he has served as a peer reviewer for scientific journals in the field of myofascial pain and trigger point therapy.
Aisling Fox - Athletic Therapist
Aisling is a Tullamore native and graduated from Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands & Midwest with a BSc (Hons) in Athletic & Rehabilitation Therapy.
She has worked as an Athletic Therapist in a range of sports including Gaelic Football, Hurling & Rugby. Her most prominent success in her career to date has been with the Offaly U20 Footballers in 2021.
Aisling is an active and keen sports person with most of her work to date being with sports teams.
Catherine Scully - MISCP
Catherine Scully is a Chartered Physiotherapist and a highly experienced clinician in the specialised fields of vestibular and post-concussion rehabilitation. She has completed advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and regularly attends conferences and seminars related to vestibular dysfunction. She developed a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation and has also worked with many adults and children experiencing persistent symptoms post-concussion including disruption to performance of work, school, and life roles. Vestibular Rehabilitation is a very successful, evidence-based program that involves manoeuvres, tailored, progressive exercises and education to decrease dizziness, vertigo and motion sensitivity and improve balance and improve balance and overall quality of life.
Catherine previously held the position of Senior Physiotherapist in the HSE. She gained valuable experience in neurology and musculoskeletal physiotherapy while working in Florida and Louisiana following graduation from UCD with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.
